COVID-19: Context

We can’t predict the future. But we can learn from the past.

What will happen next? COVID will get worse, then better, then worse, then worse, then better, then worse, then better, and then it will pass completely. In one-hundred years from now, COVID will be an insignificant blip of history, similar to Cholera (do you even know how to pronounce that word?).

Although problems seem big when we’re going through them, in retrospect they fade away. You probably thought your life was ending in high school when that notorious bully humiliated you in front of the entire class. But, do you even remember his name now? Do you remember which class you were in? Which year?

Mature adults put things in context. Any situation could always be better or worse, and every situation passes. Let’s save as many lives as we can. But, let’s also not freak out.
