Stop Looking

Wisdom, happiness, meaning. Where do we find them? Our whole lives revolve around the pursuit of these three experiences. We have universities, parks, and community service organizations; we have online classes, consumer products, and therapy. Even though we have everything needed to experience these ideals, we still don’t have them. Why?

What if I told you that buried in your backyard are deep wells of oil? You are sitting on barrels and barrels of liquid gold. What would you say? What would you do? Would you wake up early and start digging? Would you quit your job?

Now, what if I told you that buried in yourself is something much, much more valuable that oil or gold. Buried inside of you are experiences both precious and invaluable - wisdom, happiness, and meaning. Stop looking for them. You already have them.
