Rushing Nowhere

We are so busy today. We dart from one place to another to accomplish tasks both big and small. We text, call, and message each other sometimes hundreds of times a day. We grab something to eat in the car and drink a coffee during a meeting. Why are we rushing? Where are we rushing to?

When was the last time we thought about something in particular for a while? When was the last time we thought about nothing in particular for a while? When was the last time we drank a coffee while not doing something else? When was the last time we turned off our phones for one day?

It’s time to slow down and breathe. Life moves fast if you speed through it. Appreciate a moment, a walk outside, a coffee, or a phone call. Appreciate yourself, your thoughts and emotions. Don’t let your schedule control you – control your schedule.
